Update

I haven’t been blogging much, just got back from my vacation. I start school again tomorrow :( .

I have been watching Naruto Shippuuden, after I finished the original Naruto. Very good anime, I must say. It was pretty emotional at some parts, action was great, and it was funny as well. The biggest downside to it though….was the fillers. WAYYYYYY too many. I’ve also been reading the manga…yay at least there’s no fillers in the manga.

I’ve started also on Gungrave and Samurai Champloo, and both are good. Action…just the way I like it…heh.

I plan to finish those two, then go back to Inuyasha.

Personal Life

Well, I celebrated my birthday…happy birthday to me (July 23rd). Got $300, bought a lot of manga, Naruto DS for the plane ride, and All Pro Football 2k8 for the 360. I have $80 remaining.

Anyways, All Pro Football 2k8 is an attempt to bring back the 2k football series. I loved NFL 2k5 to death, but those bastards at EA had to sign a contract with the NFL that they can only make football games. I still haven’t forgiven them yet for that. APF uses football players from the past that have retired from the NFL (John Elway, Walter Payton, Dan Marino, etc.), and placed them on made up teams, because of course they can’t use any teams from the NFL.

Based on reviews, the game feels too recycled from NFL 2k5, the celebrations, the graphics, etc. I don’t think that should be too much of a problem, because I played that game three years ago. The game got reviews around the 7.5 mark.

I just finished the first 220 Naruto episodes. They were great, but I skipped around 30 episodes, because they were all filler, and I was really sick of fillers. I am now on episode 5 of Naruto Shippuuden, which takes place two and a half years after Naruto. I reccomend this anime to all Action anime lovers. Some people just won’t give it a chance, because of the english Naruto’s voice actor. I didn’t like his voice too much, but I didn’t really mind it. If you can’t stand it, watch it in Japanese.

I started watching Bleach again, all in English. I am up to episode 42, and I’m loving the “Save Rukia” arc. It’s pretty incredible, the fights. I haven’t reached too far, but I guess I’m not gonna wait until Saturday to watch the new episode, so I think I’m going to watch it in Japanese from now on, just like I did with Naruto.

I’m going to Trinidad and Tobago for two weeks, starting August 4th, then school right after that.

Well, I’m off for now.

Review: Naruto Episode 140 (anime)

Note: My reviews are short, without spoilers, so you can enjoy the episode more.

Just finished watching it, and wow, the first really good episode in a long while. It was FULL of twists and shocks, and I loved every second of it. The ending was a cliffhanger too (like most other Naruto episodes). Definately one you do not want to skip.

9/10

Rot in hell!

Chris Benoit, rot in hell.

According to lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, in Fayetteville, Ga., the deaths of WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel were the result of a double murder-suicide, WWE.com has learned.

Benoit failed to appear both at Saturday’s live event in Beaumont, Texas, and WWE’s Vengeance: Night of Champions in Houston Sunday night, after informing WWE of a family emergency. Several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning prompted concerned friends to alert Richard Hering, VP of Government Relations for WWE, Inc. Hering, in turn, spoke with Fayette County sheriffs Monday, and requested they respond to the Benoit residence to check on him and his family.

Authorities representing the Sheriff’s Department initially had a difficult time entering Benoit’s new Fayetteville home Monday afternoon, which had been guarded by two large German Shepherds roaming freely around the property. Once authorities entered the residence, they quickly located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. WWE was notified of the discovery at approximately 4 p.m.

At 10 p.m. Monday night, Lt. Pope held a press conference in conjunction with Scott Ballard, the district attorney for Fayette County. The press conference officially ruled authorities’ findings as a double murder-suicide from within the home.

WAGA, a FOX-owned and operated television station in Atlanta, reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday.

The three bodies have been received by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab, in Decatur, Ga., where autopsies will be performed Tuesday morning. Toxicology reports will not become available for at least two weeks.

Woohoo!

Well, I went on a manga shopping spree…thirteen volumes :D !!!!

I got five dragon ball volumes (I LOVE THIS MANGA), and the first two volumes of Shaman King. Read the first SK, it was pretty good, as well. I got the seceond Zombiepowder, but haven’t got around to reading it yet. I also got Rurouni Kenshin 3-7, but I wasn’t too impressed with the first two manga volumes. I have high expectations for this manga.

I have $20 left…probably going to spend it on some more Dragon Ball, but I realized that my bookstore only carries up to fifteen. I was heartbroken </3. :P , I’ll live I guess.

Anime and Manga I have been reading/watching at the moment.

I have been reading a lot of manga recently, mostly Dragon Ball, with the occasional Zombiepowder. They’re both very good, but Dragon Ball is a classic, and I never read it before. So, I’m catching up on it, and loving it. I’m up to Volume 7 with it. The art style is incredible (The artist is back with Blue Dragon for the Xbox 360!), and I think it’s one of the best I have ever seen. I’m just a sucker for the cute character designs.

Now for the anime, I have been watching Naruto, and I’m finshed with Season 5. I am now on episode 130, and I’m enjoying it. Not as much as the next guy, but enough. It’s boring at points, and it’s pacing is brutal. But, it has some excellent action scenes, and the characters are done well.

I’m also watching Elfen Lied. I love it. It has an excellent story, and it’s very adult. Nudity, and extreme violence. The characters are generic, but it’s managable.

I’m probably gonna start Yu Yu Hakasho soon, and I’ll probably enjoy that.

What has everyone been reading/watching?

Once again, another blog.

This is probably my fifth or sixth weblog…most of them were on Mindsay.com, but I decided to make one on WordPress for a change. I will be talking about Games, Anime, and Manga mostly on here, and sometimes sports. So…I guess, enjoy.
